This insight is necessary to give an appropriate swim advise to citizens, vendors and operators. Currently, measurements are, on average, taken 7-8 times a year. Based on these results an advice is formulated. Unfortunately, the water quality does change between measurements, even stronger; it changes every hour. Resulting, the advice that can be given is almost always after the “damage” is done or no advise is given at all. Lanters Technology proposed a solution involving real time and predictive sensory information.

Together with the province Overijssel a proper description of the problem was formulated and consequently expressed by the need for real-time monitoring and forecasting of the water quality. Lanters Technology now develops an energy efficient low-cost water quality sensor collaborating with a monitoring dashboard and forecasting of the water quality through our machine learning models.

This project is caried out and commissioned by province Overijssel and the organization of Startup in Residence.
